Bell Labs Mobile Location Software
Bell Labs network engine lets cell users decide how to share location information, which is being presented at the 2004 IEEE International Conference on Mobile Data Management in Berkeley, Calif. The paper is "Enabling Context-Aware and Privacy-Conscious User Data Sharing"
Richard Hull, Bharat Kumar, Daniel Lieuwen, Peter F. Patel-Schneider, Arnaud Sahuguet, Sriram Varadarajan, Avinash Vyas (Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies, USA).
I am particularly interested with how accurate the location service is, and for different business groups how to take advantage of this to "help(Spam (?)" cell phone users.
btw, the MDM04 conference seems to have a couple of good papers and projects. Check it out dude.
